In June 2017, Amy, the humanoid robot from Amy Robotics has been hired at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport to provide menu advice, give directions, play helping videos and tell matters need attention. The robot will do what the most other airport employees spend a lot of their time doing.
“Dear passengers, please go to self-service channel if you hold Chinese electronic passport”, in the crowd, she will walk around and tell people where to go. And for the more confused situation, Amy starts to use functions such as sound prompting and video showing, etc.
She can also respond to your voice, tell you the weather of your destination, introduce you the scenic spot and offer directions in one of two languages: English and Mandarin Chinese. And there’s a display where it shows you where to go. Amy can even guide you to your gate, if you prefer.
Getting bored during traveling? Don’t worry, Amy can entertain you with singing, dancing and self-timer when she receive the instruction.
